HIKING AND TREKKING

Hiking in desert is probably the best way to have a real desert experience. It's quiter and slower than a jeep tour, it's eco firendly and is the best way to have the chance to see some wild animals... or at least their tracks! The wildlife and the flora are protected in Wadi Rum, inside the protected area.

JEBEL KHASH

Jebel Khash is probably Sabbah's favourite mountain. He knows all the itineraries, can collect medicinal plants and prepares tea on the top !

For a day in Khash, we start early, either from the camp if you slept there the night before or from Wadi Rum village if you just arrived. We drive to the South, then hike up to the summit. The walk is very nice and offers various views during 3-4 hours. It doesn't require special climbing skills.

Khash view Saabet

From the top, you have a stunning view on Wadi Saabet, the first mountains of Saudi Arabia and Jebel Um Adaami, the highest mountain in Jordan.

Khash view from top 5

You also see the red valleys of Rum! After lunch down Khash, according to your wishes, we will either go back to Rum village or have an afternoon jeep tour and hiking in South Wadi Rum, discovering the white desert and Um Umgur.

Price : please contact us for a quotation, as this walk may be a full day tour, with or whithout overnight, or part of a package programme.
